Procedure

100 gms of liquid cyclic phosphonate (Antiblaze N produced by Albright & Wilson Americas), 25 gms of phosphoric acid, 25 gms of melamine and 25 gms of ammonia polyphosphate are mixed, then heated to 150-250° C. while agitating for 30-50 minutes, thereby producing a ammonium melamine salt of cyclic phosphonate-phosphoric acid composition then 5 gms of zinc borate and 5 gms of a comb-like polymer consisting of a polyethylene main chain and a polyoxyalkylene side chain (CPO-A). The mixture is then cooled and pulverized into a powder.
