Procedure
Alkylation of 2-Chloromethyl-quinoline with 4-(4,4,5,5-Tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-phenol was carried out according to procedures in Step 5A for Example 3.32 to give 2-[4-(4,4,5,5-Tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-phenoxymethyl]-quinoline in 90% yield. 1H NMR (400 MHz, MeOD) δ ppm 1.2 (s, 12 H) 5.3 (s, 2 H) 7.0 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 2 H) 7.5 (m, 1 H) 7.6 (dd, J=11.4, 8.6 Hz, 3 H) 7.7 (m, 1 H) 7.8 (dd, J=8.1, 1.5 Hz, 1 H) 7.9 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1 H) 8.3 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1 H).
