Procedure
Following general procedure A2, 4-chloro-2-(3-chlorophenyl)pyridine hydrochloride (0.114 g, 0.44 mmol) was reacted with 2-(4-aminophenyl)ethanol (0.072 g, 0.53 mmol), followed by formation of the hydrochloride salt to afford the title compound (0.103 g, 65%) as a light yellow solid. MW=361.27. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 500 MHz) δ 14.08 (s, 1H), 10.70 (s, 1H), 8.28 (d, J=7.0 Hz, 1H), 7.96 (t, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.79 (d, J=7.5 Hz, 1H), 7.73-7.69 (m, 1H), 7.65 (t, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.37-7.28 (m, 5H), 7.13-7.08 (m, 1H), 3.64 (t, J=7.0 Hz, 2H), 2.76 (t, J=7.0 Hz, 2H); APCI MS m/z 325 [M+H]+.
