To a stirred solution of ethyl (6-iodo-3-(3-methoxy-4-((4-(perfluoroethyl)benzyl)oxy)benzyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-yl)carbamate (0.090 g, 0.13 mmol) and 1-methyl-4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole (0.054 g, 0.26 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (3 mL) and 2M aqueous sodium carbonate solution (150 μL) was added (1,1′-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene)palladium(II) dichloride (0.050 g, 0.06 mmol). The resulting mixture was heated to 80° C. under a nitrogen atmosphere. After 4 h, the mixture was allowed to cool to room temperature and was filtered through Celite. The filtrate was diluted with water (10 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (3×20 mL). The combined organic phases were dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated. The residue was purified by prep-HPLC to afford 0.010 g (14%) of the product as a white solid: 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 8.10 (s, 2H), 7.84 (s, 1H), 7.72-7.70 (m, 2H), 7.66-7.64 (m, 2H), 7.58 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 7.12 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 6.95-6.89 (m, s 3H), 6.72 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 1H), 5.19 (s, 2H), 5.15 (s, 2H), 3.85 (s, 3H), 3.73 (s, 3H) ppm; (M+1)=559.
