Pd/C (5%, 20 mg) was added to a solution of benzyl 4-[3-chloro-6-methoxy-2-methyl-5-(1-{[9-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-9H-purin-6-yl]amino}ethyl)phenyl]-1-methyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate (20 mg) in methanol (2.0 mL) and the reaction was stirred at room temperature under balloon pressure of H2 for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered and to the filtrate was added conc. HCl (30 μL). The mixture was stirred for 0.5 h to remove the THP group. The solvent was removed to yield the crude product which was used in the next step without further purification. LCMS calculated for C21H22ClN6O3 (M+H)+: m/z=441.1. found: 441.2.
