Procedure
A solution of N-[2-({4-[4-(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)-5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]-1,2,5-oxadiazol-3-yl}amino)ethyl]sulfamide (3.7 g, 8.8 mmol) in methanol (70 mL) was treated with 2M NaOH (18 mL, 35 mmol) and stirred at 25° C. for 2 h. The reaction mixture was quenched with 6N HCl to pH˜7 and the methanol was removed under reduced pressure. The solid that precipitated was filtered and washed with water to give the desired product (3.2 g, 92%) as a white solid. LCMS for C11H14ClFN7O4S (M+H)+: m/z=394.0. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 7.96 (dd, J=6.8, 2.1 Hz, 0.05H), 7.32-7.29 (m, 0.1H), 7.18 (dd, J=9.1, 9.1 Hz, 0.95H), 6.93 (dd, J=6.4, 2.7 Hz, 0.95H), 6.71-6.66 (m, 0.95H), 6.33 (br s, 1 H), 3.35-3.27 (m, 2 H), 3.10-3.06 (m, 2 H).
