VerwendenDihydro-myrcenol acetate is more stable than Myrcenyl acetate, which tends to polymerize upon standing. It is not quite as powerful and does not give the same effect as soap (perfume). But it has a different odour character, is more citrusy fresh, and is more interesting for modern versions of the “Continental” style Citrus-cologne. It will also support the Lime notes in Lime or Lime-Lemon fragrances, a very modern and much-demanded type in recent years (1967- 68). Novel effects in Jasmin bases are also achieved with this ester.
