Huagongshe runs a remote MCP Server. Once an MCP-capable AI client connects, it can call Huagongshe capabilities directly: compounds, reactions, structure processing, scale calculation, and your personal workbench.

Public tools

Public query tools work anonymously; no authentication required.

Standard authorization for protected tools

Structure search, skills (browsing and saving), personal data, and write operations require account authorization. Clients with standard MCP OAuth support will guide you through HGS account connection automatically (Authorization Code + PKCE S256, scopes read / reaction:write / skill:write); just confirm on the authorization page.

MCP clients without standard OAuth account-linking support can use an AI Key: create one under Account settings → AI Key and delete it at any time; send it as Authorization: Bearer <AI Key>. This is the compatibility path for clients without OAuth support.

Agent Plugin

The plugin package follows the agent-plugins.org specification (containing plugin.json, mcp.json, and icon) for compatible clients. You can also connect directly to the MCP endpoint below — no plugin required.

13 tools in total: compound and reaction lookups and structure diagrams need no login; structure search, skills (browsing and saving), personal data, and write operations require authorization (standard OAuth, or the AI Key compatibility path; reaction:write / skill:write).

Open the QwenWork desktop client
In the left sidebar, go to Extensions → Connectors
Click "+ Add" at the top right and choose manual configuration
Select Streamable HTTP as the server type and paste the server URL
Click "+ Add Header": Authorization = Bearer <your AI Key>

Open WorkBuddy
In the left menu, go to Experts · Skills · Connectors → Connectors
Click Custom connector → Configure MCP
Paste the server URL and add the auth header: Authorization = Bearer <your AI Key>

Reaction records are private by default; making one public requires your explicit confirmation
Before saving, the AI must show you a draft and get your confirmation
Authorizations and AI Keys can be revoked at any time — send them only to huagongshe.com
Every save uses a unique Idempotency-Key, so retries never create duplicates
