| Brandgefahren | Combustible. Liquid formulations containing organic solvents may be flammable. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire. Risk of fire and explosion if formulations contain flammable/explosive solvents. |
| Gefahrenübersicht | A cholinesterase inhibitor that may have nervous system effects causing convulsions and respiratory failureCan be absorbed through skinMay also cause long term effects to nervous system and liver[ICSC] No significant adverse effects in rats fed 200 mg/kg diet for 2 years[HSDB] No inhibition of brain cholinesterase activity or histopathological tissue changes observed in feeding studies with ratsIn a three generation study with rats a decrease in litter size and mean pup weight was observed, but no adverse morphological tissue changesChanges to liver observed in long term studies with rats and dogsNo evidence of delayed neurotoxicity in hensMortality from lethal doses usually occurred within half hourSub-lethal dosing recovery often within three hours[Reference #1] See CARBAMATE INSECTICIDES. |

| FIFRA-Anforderungen | As the federal pesticide law FIFRA directs, EPA is conducting a comprehensive review of older pesticides to consider their health and environmental effects and make decisions about their future use. Under this pesticide reregistration program, EPA examines health and safety data for pesticide active ingredients initially registered before November 1, 1984, and determines whether they are eligible for reregistration. In addition, all pesticides must meet the new safety standard of the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996. Pesticides for which EPA had not issued Registration Standards prior to the effective date of FIFRA, as amended in 1988, were divided into three lists based upon their potential for human exposure and other factors, with List B containing pesticides of greater concern and List D pesticides of less concern. Aminocarb is found on List B. Case No: 2015 |
