| Brandgefahren | Flash point data for this chemical are not availablehowever, it is probably combustible. (NTP, 1992) |
| Gesundheitsgefahren | SYMPTOMS: Symptoms of exposure to this compound include nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, dizziness, weakness, paresthesia and sensitivity reactions with fever, eosinophilia, skin rashes, cholestatic jaundice and blood disorders including aplastic anemia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis and thrombocytopenia. Other symptoms include pancytopenia, hemolytic anemia, photosensitivity, hemorrhage (rarely), increases serum alkaline phosphatase and hypoglycemia reactions including coma and death (rarely). It can cause an intolerance to alcohol with flushing, palpitations and nausea. It can also cause headache, diarrhea and alteration in liver function tests. Stillbirth may occur. |
| FDA-Anforderungen | Manufacturers, packers, and distributors of drug and drug products for human use are responsible for complying with the labeling, certification, and usage requirements as prescribed by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended (secs 201-902, 52 Stat. 1040 et seq., as amended21 U.S.C. 321-392). |

| Reactivity Profile | An amide. Organic amides/imides react with azo and diazo compounds to generate toxic gases. Flammable gases are formed by the reaction of organic amides/imides with strong reducing agents. Amides are very weak bases (weaker than water). Imides are less basic yet and in fact react with strong bases to form salts. That is, they can react as acids. Mixing amides with dehydrating agents such as P2O5 or SOCl2 generates the corresponding nitrile. The combustion of these compounds generates mixed oxides of nitrogen (NOx). |
| Air and Water Reactions | Water insoluble. |
