Anwendungen & Verwendung
Occurrence
A constituent of the basic extract of Aglaia odorata, odorine forms colourless needles when crystallized from C6H6H6.It is dextrorotatory with a specific rotation of [α]D25 +72.6° (c 0.03, CHCl3) and gives an ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH consisting of a single absorption maximum at 283 nm.
Verwenden
Odorine is a chemopreventative agent inhibitor of carcinogenesis.
