The product of Example 2, Step (C) was treated with 4-phenylbenzyl bromide as in Example 2, Step (D) to give 3-benzyl-6-(biphenyl-4-ylmethylsulfanyl)-5-methyl-1H-pyrimidine-2,4-dione. MS (APCI), m/z ([M+H]+) 415.
