After partial evaporation of the methylene chloride, ethyl acetate was added. The precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with ether and dried under vacuum to give 4-(2-methoxyethylsulphanyl)-7-(3-methylsulphonylpropoxy)quinazoline (960 mg, 71%).
