tert-Butyl N′-[5-chloro-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-methoxypentanoyl]hydrazinecarboxylate (90 mg) was dissolved in a solution of 4 N hydrogen chloride in dioxane (1 mL), and the reaction solution was stirred at room temperature for 70 minutes.
