Versuchsvorschrift

Example 1 is repeated with the exception that n-C6H13SCH2CH2Cl is used as a reagent instead of CH3SCH2CH2Cl and the reaction is allowed to proceed for seventy-five minutes. The product is isolated by distillation at reduced pressure and analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry which shows that the product is 0.7 percent n-C6H13SCH2CH2SCN and 97.0 percent n-C6H13SCH2CH2NCS.
