Chemistry & industry

Applications · 3 items

UsesAmido Black 10B is used as a histological, protein, and nucleic acid dye used in electrophoresis. Naphthol Blue Black is an important and commonly used industrial dye. This dye is also used in rapid staining of protein bands on nitrocellulose membranes such as Western blots. Naphthol Blue Black can be utilized as a nucleic acid stain in SDS-Page gels. Additionally this compound has been untilized in cell proliferation assays and histochemical studies. It is also used in criminal investigations to detect blood present with latent fingerprints. They are also used in paints, inks, plastics and leather.

UsesAcid Black 1 is an organic acid dye, and a water pollutant. Several removal processes have been developed for acid black 1, such as the preparation of bio-based (chitosan/PVA/ZnO) nanocomposite films, and nanofiltrating organic solvents. Dyes and metabolites.

General DescriptionDark brown granular solid.
