Applications
UsesTetra-n-propylammonium hydroxide is used as an intermediate, ion exchange agent, surface-active agent and solvent. Further, it is used as an antistatic agent, detergent sanitizers, softener for textiles and paper products, emulsifying agents and pigment dispersers. It finds application as curing accelerators. In addition to this, it acts as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis to enhance the reaction rate.
General DescriptionTetrapropylammonium hydroxide, a quaternary ammonium compound, is mainly used as a structure directing agent for the preparation of molecular sieves and zeolites.
