Uses2,8,9-Trimethyl-2,5,8,9-tetraaza-1-phosphabicyclo[3.3.3]undecane (CAS# 120666-13-9) is a useful catalyst for the direct α-arylation of nitriles with aryl chlorides and aryl bromides. It is also used as a catalyst in carbon dioxide reduction to methylamines under metal-free conditions.
