Applications
UsesBorane-tert-butylamine complex is used in stereoselective reduction of a steroidal ketone and for a review of amine boranes as selective reducing and hydroborating agents. It is also used as strong co-reducing agent in the syntheses of copper (I) oxide nanoparticles, diphosphine-protected gold nanocluster and 4-acetoxycinnamyl alcohols.
General DescriptionBorane tert-butylamine complex is a mild reducing agent. It participates in the selective reduction of aldehydes and ketones to corresponding alcohol. It takes part as a reducing agent in the synthesis of monodisperse palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs), monodisperse gold (Au) nanoparticles and carbon-supported Pd electrocatalysts.
