Preparation methods
Preparation(E)-isomer: by the sequence of eq 1, or more directly from the readily available Vinyltrimethylsilane (eq 2). (Z)-isomer: by bromination-debromosilylation of 1,2- bis(trimethylsilyl)ethylene (eq 3).
