1593-77-7CC1CN(C2CCCCCCCCCCC2)CC(C)O1JMXKCYUTURMERF-UHFFFAOYSA-NDodemorph is a member of the class of morpholines that is 2,6-dimethylmorpholine in which the hydrogen attached to the nitrogen is replaced by a cyclododecyl group. It is a fungicide used for the control of powdery mildew, particularly in rose culture. It has a role as a sterol biosynthesis inhibitor and an antifungal agrochemical. It is a tertiary amino compound, a macrocycle and a morpholine fungicide.

DescriptionDodemorph is a morpholine fungicide used for fungal control. It is moderately soluble in water and most organic solvents. It is moderately persistent in soil and is non-mobile. Based on its physico-chemical parameters, dodemorph is not expected to leach to groundwater. It demonstrates a low toxicity to mammals but a moderate level of toxicity to bees, fish and aquatic invertebrates. Limited data is available on its toxicity to humans but some reports suggest it is a possible reproduction/developmental toxin as well as an irritant.
UsesA labelled form of 4-Cyclododecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine (C990000) which isa morpholine pesticide and often used to control mildew in rose cultivation. 4-Cyclododecyl-2,6-dimethylmorpholine is known to inhibit ergosterol-biosynthesis and can be used to detect fungicide residues in fruits and vegetables. Useful in cannabis testing kits as a component of pesticide mixes (P698235).
