Procedure

The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in step 1 of Example 67 from methyl 3-bromo-4-fluorobenzoate and 3-fluorophenol: 1H-NMR (CDCl3) δ 8.33 (1H, d, J=2.0 Hz), 7.94 (1H, dd, J=8.6, 2.0 Hz), 7.38–7.29 (1H, m), 6.96–6.72 (4H, m), 3.92 (3H, s).
