Reaction Steps
(3-Amino-propyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.6 g) was treated with benzoyl chloride (1.1 eq.) and triethylamine (1.5 eq) in methylene chloride (50 mL). The reaction mixture was washed with 1 N HCl, sat, NaHCO3, and sat NaCl and the solvent removed to give product. LC-MS showed the product had the expected M+H+ of 279.
