Procedure

Reaction of 3-bromomethylpyrazole, prepared by treatment of 3-hydroxymethylpyrazole with thionyl bromide, with ethylenediamine by the procedure of Example 34 gives N-(3-pyrazolylmethyl)ethylenediamine.
