Procedure

A microwave vial was charged with 2-chloro-4-[3-(4-chlorophenyl)-piperidin-1-yl]-[1, 3, 5]triazine (62 mg, 0.2 mmol), 4-borono-L-phenylalanine (60 mg, 0.3 mmol), 1 ml of acetonitrile, and 0.7 ml of water. Aqueous sodium carbonate (0.6 ml; 1M) was added to the solution, followed by 5 mol percent dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine)-palladium(II). The reaction vessel was sealed and heated to 150° C. for 5 minutes with microwave. After cooling, the reaction mixture was evaporated to dryness. The residue was dissolved in 2.5 ml of methanol, was then purified by Prep-LC to give 5.1 mg of 2-amino-3-(4-{4-[3-(4-chlorophenyl)-piperidin-1-yl]-[1,3,5]triazin-2-yl}-phenyl)-propionic acid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3Cl) δ 8.58 (d, 2H), 8.05 (d, 2H), 7.47 (m, 5 H), 4.96 (m, 1 H), 4.23 (m, 2H), 3.21-3.44 (m, 4 H), 2.37 (m, 5H).
