5-(3-Hydroxy-3-methylbut-1-ynyl)-3-nitrothiophene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester was reduced by method E1 under a pressure of 3 bar to 5-(3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl)-3-nitrothiophene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester. The product with the molecular weight of 243.33 (C11H17NO3S) was obtained in this way; MS (ESI): 244 (M+H+).
