Reaction Steps
According to the method of Example 26, from aldehyde 6 (600 mg, 2.24 mmol) and 1-bromohexadecane (1.37 mL, 4.49 mmol), alcohol 59 was obtained as a colorless oil (775 mg, 70% yield).
