Reaction Steps
By acetylation of compound 2: According to the procedure for compound 6, Ac2O (0.29 mL, 3.0 mmol), pyridine (0.14 mL, 1.8 mmol), and alcohol 12 (0.28 g, 1.5 mmol) were reacted to provide 13 (19 g, 90% yield, 86% Z as determined by 1H-NMR) as a colorless oil.
