用途

使用

m-Phenylenediamine dihydrochloride is used in the synthesis of bis(thiazolidone) and bis(thiohydantoin) derivatives. It can be used to increase the pore size in the fabrication of poly(aniline-co-1,3-phenylenediamine) cryogels.

処分方法SRP: At the time of review, criteria for land treatment or burial (sanitary landfill) disposal practices are subject to significant revision. Prior to implementing land disposal of waste residue (including waste sludge), consult with environmental regulatory agencies for guidance on acceptable disposal practices.
有害作用Occupational hepatotoxin - Secondary hepatotoxins: the potential for toxic effect in the occupational setting is based on cases of poisoning by human ingestion or animal experimentation.
TSCA Test Submissionsm-Phenylenediamine dihydrochloride (CAS # 541-69-5) was evaluated for carcinogenicity in mice (25/sex/treatment group, strain unspecified) exposed to dietary concentrations of 0, 2000 and 4000 ppm for 18 months. Beginning late in treatment (at least 8 months), mice were periodically sacrificed for necropsy and evaluation of gross pathology (protocol was not provided). Those mice displaying gross pathology and any late term (8 months or more after initiation of treatment) non-autolyzed lethalities were used for histological determinations of carcinogenicity. Mice remaining after serial sacrifice were kept until death (as long as 19 months) for observation of clinical toxicity and terminal histopathological evaluation. Study mortality was 100% in high- and low-dose groups of both sexes at 15 months and 19 months respectively. Survival was also noted to be markedly diminished and mean bodyweights were reduced at 12 months in both high-dose male and female mice relative to controls. With 16/25, 10/25 and 15/25 of control mice, and male high and low dose mice effectively available for carcinogenicity analysis respectively, no significant increased incidence of tumors was identified relative to controls: Investigators considered number of mice with tumors, number of tumors, mice with multiple tumors, and type tumor incidence relative to those values in controls. Only in female low-dose mice (13 final effective number) was marked increased incidence of tumors relative to controls (13 final effective number) observed: Female low-dose mice were found with 31% lung tumors relative to 23% incidence in control mice and 8% hepatomas relative to 0 incidence in controls. Amyloid bodies were noted from 12 months in both low- and high-dose male and female mice.m-Phenylenediamine dihydrochloride (CAS # 541-69-5) was evaluated for carcinogenicity in male rats (25/treatment group, strain unspecified) exposed to dietary concentrations of 0, 1000 and 2000 ppm for 18 months. Beginning late in treatment, animals were periodically sacrificed for necropsy and evaluation of gross pathology (protocol was not provided)A first tumor was noted at 15 weeks. Those rats displaying gross pathology and any late term non-autolyzed lethalities were used for histological determinations of carcinogenicity. Rats remaining after serial sacrifice were kept until death (as long as 26 months) for observation of clinical toxicity and terminal histopathological evaluation. Study mortality was 100% in high-dose rats at 15 months. Low-dose rats showed recovery of some lost bodyweight at Week 20 after discontinuation of treatment. With 111/150, 15/25 and 17/25 of control rats, and high- and low-dose rats effectively available for carcinogenicity analysis respectively, both low- and high-dose rats were found with a higher incidence of GI and liver tumors relative to controls. Investigators considered number of mice with tumors, number of tumors, mice with multiple tumors, and type tumor incidence relative to those values in controls. Treated rats showed generally lower incidence (40% and 41% of high and low dose rats respectively) carcinogenicity than did controls (59%).
Human Toxicity Excerpts/SRP/: POTENTIAL METHEMOGLOBIN FORMER.Poison by intraperitoneal route. Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic data. Mutation data reported.

FIBROSARCOMAS WERE PRODUCED IN ONE RAT IN THE GROUP TREATED WITH...24 MG/KG BODY WT... NO TUMORS WERE FOUND IN ANY OF THE OTHER GROUPS NOR IN THE CONTROL GROUPS.
Evidence for CarcinogenicityNo data are available in humans. Inadequate evidence of carcinogenicity in animals. OVERALL EVALUATION: Group 3: The agent is not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans. /M-Phenylenediamine/
Antidote and Emergency TreatmentFor immediate first aid: Ensure that adequate decontamination has been carried out. If victim is not breathing, start artificial respiration, preferably with a demand-valve resuscitator, bag-valve-mask device, or pocket mask as trained. Perform CPR if necessary. Immediately flush contaminated eyes with gently flowing water. Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, lean patient forward or place on left side (head-down position, if possible) to maintain an open airway and prevent aspiration. Keep victim quiet and maintain normal body temperature. Obtain medical attention. /Organic bases, amines, and related compounds/For basic treatment: Establish a patent airway. Suction if necessary. Watch for signs of respiratory insufficiency and assist ventilations if necessary. Administer oxygen by nonrebreather mask at 10 to 15 L/min. Monitor for pulmonary edema and treat if necessary ... Monitor for shock and treat if necessary ... Anticipate seizures and treat if necessary ... For eye contamination, flush eyes immediately with water. Irrigate each eye continuously with normal saline during transport ... Do not use emetics. For ingestion, rinse mouth and administer 5 mL/kg up to 200 mL of water for dilution if the patient can swallow, has a strong gag reflex, and does not drool. Administer activated charcoal ... Cover skin burns with sterile dressings after decontamination ... . /Organic bases, amines, and related compounds/
