用途医薬品、花火、曳光弾

使用Strontium peroxide or strontium dioxide (SrO2) can cause fires or explode when heated and in contact with organic substances. It is used as both a reducing agent and an oxidizing agent.

一般的な説明A white powder. Insoluble in water and slowly decomposed by water. Noncombustible, but accelerates the burning of combustible material.

調製方法 · 1 件

製造方法Like the other alkaline earth peroxides, it can be prepared by reaction of the nitrate and sodium peroxide in a cold solution: Sr(NO3)2+ Na2O2+xH2OSrO2·xH2O+2NaNO3 The hydrated form is usually the octahydrate. If the anhydrate is desired, the hydrated peroxide is dried and then sintered at 350°C for 10 min or less: SrO2·xH2O+ heat→SrO+SrO2+H2O

Reactivity Profile · 1 件

STRONTIUM PEROXIDE may explode from friction, heat or contamination. Accelerates burning when involved in a fire. May ignite combustibles (wood, paper, oil, clothing, etc.). If the combustible material is finely divided the mixture may be explosive.

DOT Emergency Guidelines · 5 件

/GUIDE 143: OXIDIZERS (Unstable)/ Fire or Explosion: May explode from friction, heat or contamination. These substances will accelerate burning when involved in a fire. May ignite combustibles (wood, paper, oil, clothing, etc.). Some will react explosively with hydrocarbons (fuels). Containers may explode when heated. Runoff may create fire or explosion hazard.

/GUIDE 143: OXIDIZERS (Unstable)/ Health: TOXIC; inhalation, ingestion or contact (skin, eyes) with vapors, dusts or substance may cause severe injury, burns or death. Fire may produce irritating and/or toxic gases. Toxic fumes or dust may accumulate in confined areas (basement, tanks, hopper/tank cars, etc.). Runoff from fire control or dilution water may cause pollution.

/GUIDE 143: OXIDIZERS (Unstable)/ Public Safety: CALL Emergency Response Telephone Number on Shipping Paper first. If Shipping Paper not available or no answer, refer to appropriate telephone number listed on the inside back cover. As an immediate precautionary measure, isolate spill or leak area in all directions for at least 50 meters (150 feet) for liquids and at least 25 meters (75 feet) for solids. Keep unauthorized personnel away. Stay upwind. Keep out of low areas. Ventilate closed spaces before entering.

/GUIDE 143: OXIDIZERS (Unstable)/ Protective Clothing: Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Wear chemical protective clothing that is specifically recommended by the manufacturer. It may provide little or no thermal protection. Structural firefighters' protective clothing provides limited protection in fire situations ONLY; it is not effective in spill situations where direct contact with the substance is possible.

Fire Fighting Procedures · 3 件

Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus when fighting fires involving this material.

Flood with water. Cool all affected containers with flooding quantities of water. Apply water from as far a distance as possible.

If fire becomes uncontrollable - consider evacuation of one-half (1/2) mile radius.

Storage ConditionsKEEP WELL CLOSED.

Disposal Methods · 1 件

SRP: At the time of review, criteria for land treatment or burial (sanitary landfill) disposal practices are subject to significant revision. Prior to implementing land disposal of waste residue (including waste sludge), consult with environmental regulatory agencies for guidance on acceptable disposal practices.

Preventive Measures · 4 件

If material /is/ not on fire and not involved in fire: Keep sparks, flames, and other sources of ignition away. Keep material out of water sources and sewers.

Do not handle broken packages unless wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Wash away any material which may have contacted the body with copious amounts of water or soap and water.

SRP: Contaminated protective clothing should be segregated in such a manner so that there is no direct personal contact by personnel who handle, dispose, or clean the clothing. Quality assurance to ascertain the completeness of the cleaning procedures should be implemented before the decontaminated protective clothing is returned for reuse by the workers. Contaminated clothing should not be taken home at end of shift, but should remain at employee's place of work for cleaning.

SRP: The scientific literature for the use of contact lenses in industry is conflicting. The benefit or detrimental effects of wearing contact lenses depend not only upon the substance, but also on factors including the form of the substance, characteristics and duration of the exposure, the uses of other eye protection equipment, and the hygiene of the lenses. However, there may be individual substances whose irritating or corrosive properties are such that the wearing of contact lenses would be harmful to the eye. In those specific cases, contact lenses should not be worn. In any event, the usual eye protection equipment should be worn even when contact lenses are in place.

Advanced treatment: Consider orotracheal or nasotracheal intubation for airway control in the patient who is unconscious, has severe pulmonary edema, or is in respiratory arrest. Early intubation, at the first sign of upper airway obstruction, may be necessary. Positive-pressure ventilation techniques with a bag-valve-mask device may be beneficial. Monitor cardiac rhythm and treat arrhythmias as necessary ... Start an IV with D5W TKO /SRP: "To keep open", minimal flow rate/. Use lactated Ringer's if signs of hypovolemia are present. Watch for signs of fluid overload. Consider drug therapy for pulmonary edema ... For hypotension with signs of hypovolemia, administer fluid cautiously. Watch for signs of fluid overload ... Use proparacaine hydrochloride to assist eye irrigation ... /Oxidizers/

Immediate first aid: Ensure that adequate decontamination has been carried out. If victim is not breathing, start artificial respiration, preferably with a demand-valve resuscitator, bag-valve-mask device, or pocket mask as trained. Perform CPR if necessary. Immediately flush contaminated eyes with gently flowing water. Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, lean patient forward or place on left side (head-down position, if possible) to maintain an open airway and prevent aspiration. Keep victim quiet and maintain normal body temperature. Obtain medical attention. /Oxidizers/
