説明Creatine Amidinohydrolase (EC 3.5.3.3) is a hydrolase that catalyses the hydrolysis of creatine into creatine phosphate and urea. It appears as a white to off-white solid and plays a crucial role in the enzymatic determination of creatinine concentration. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that can react creatine to produce 1 μmol sarcosine per minute at 37°C and pH 5.5.
使用Creatine amidinohydrolase is a clinically important enzyme used in the determination of creatinine in blood and urine.
一般的な説明Creatinase is a homodimer that catalyzes hydrolysis of creatine. It consists of two monomer subunit and two defined domains; N and C terminal domains. C terminal fold have both the α helices and anti-parallel β sheet within two structurally similar domains. In between these two domains, there is a sulfhydryl group that acts as active site and the activity is metal independent.
