解説4-(aminomethyl)benzenesulfonamide．C7H10N2O2S(186.23)．ベンジルクロリドにアセトアミドを作用させると得られるN-アセチルベンジルアミンを，クロロスルホン酸で4-(アセチルアミノメチル)ベンゼンスルホニルクロリドとする．これにNH3を作用せたのち，加水分解して製造する．"白色の板状晶．融点151～152 ℃．冷水に約2％溶ける．塩酸塩はガス壊疽(そ)菌，破傷風菌，ぶどう球菌，肺炎双球菌，緑膿菌などの感染の諸疾患に抗菌剤として内用，注射および外用で使用される．LD50 ＞ 5000 mg/kg(ラット，経口·皮下)．[CAS 138-39-6]森北出版「化学辞典（第2版）
