解説
ジメチルスルホンとは、スルホンにメチル基が2つ結合した有機硫黄化合物です。 メチルスルホニルメタン (MSM) とも呼ばれています。融点108〜111℃、沸点238℃で常温において白色の固体です。水、、に溶けやすい性質があります。 ジメチルスルホンは天然の硫黄化合物であり、牛乳や野菜、果物など様々な食品に含まれています。また、人間の関節部の軟骨や筋肉、皮膚、髪、爪などにも存在しています。鎮痛作用や抗炎症作用などがあると知られています。
用途
高沸点溶剤(有機、無機)、有機合成原料。
使用
Dimethyl sulfone is a high tempereture solvent for many inorganic and organic substances,it is used as antiinflammatory, antiproliferative, antiparasitic.
使用用途
ジメチルスルホンは、たんぱく質、コラーゲン、ケラチンなどの生成に関与していると考えられており、コラーゲンを健康に保つ効果、関節痛や腰痛などの痛みや炎症を鎮める効果があると注目を集めています。しかしながら、その有効性や安全については十分に検討されていません。また、関節炎に対する効果についても、動物レベルでは検討されているもののヒトにおける有効性については報告がありません。 ジメチルスルホンは、化粧品、ローション、美容液、保湿クリーム、サプリメントなどに添加されています。
