用途
解説
ジクロロエタンは，エタンの塩素二置換体。1,2-ジクロロエタン（塩化エチレン、二塩化エチレン）と1,1-ジクロロエタン（塩化エチリデン）の2種の異性体がある。前者はEDCと略記されることがある化合物で、芳香ある無色液体。塩化鉄(Ⅲ)を触媒とし液相または気相でエチレンと塩素とを反応させることにより工業的に製造する。水にはわずかにしか溶けないが、エタノール、エーテルには溶ける。熱分解すると脱塩化水素がおこりクロロエチレン（塩化ビニル）を生成するが、これは塩化ビニル製造工程として重要である。エチレンジアミンその他の原料、溶剤として用いられることもある。しかし1,2-ジクロロエタンの排水基準値は0.04mg/lと非常に厳しく、取扱いに注意を要する。1,1-ジクロロエタンの用途は多くない。［谷利陸平］[参照項目] | 異性体 | エタノール | エタン | エチレン | エチレンジアミン | 塩化鉄 | 塩素 | クロロエチレン[補完資料] | ジクロロエタン（データノート）小学館 日本大百科全書(ニッポニカ) ）
