Reaction of 3-ethyl-3-n-butyl-12-phenyl-1-aza-1,5,9-cyclododecatriene with hydroxylamine hydrochloride, in the presence of hydrochloric acid and water, to 2-ethyl-2-n-butyl-11-phenyl-11-amino-undeca-4,8-dienal-oxime, and hydrogenation of this to yield 1-phenyl-10-ethyl-10-n-butyl-1,11-diaminoundecane; b.p. 155°-158° C./5 Pa; nD20 =1.5045.
