2-Oxo-1-(1-t-butoxycarbonylpiperidin-4-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (63 mg, 0.198 mmol) was dissolved in 1,2-dichloroethane (10 mL) and 3-chloroperoxybenzoic acid (137 mg, 0.792 mmol) was added at 0° C. The reaction was warmed to room temperature and stirred for 4 h. The reaction was quenched with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate and sodium thiosulfate, extracted with methylene chloride (3×), dried over sodium sulfate, filtered and evaporated to give the title compound (45 mg). MS 335.1 (M+1).
