実験手順

A mixture of 1.17 g of 1-(2,4-dihydroxy-3-propylphenyl)ethanone, 2.41 g of 4-acetyl-3-(3-bromopropoxy)-2-propylphenoxy acetic acid ethyl ester, 1.66 g of anhydrous potassium carbonate and 0.1 g of potassium iodide in 15 ml of anhydrous acetone and 15 ml of anhydrous dimethylformamide was stirred at reflux for 18 hours. The solvent was removed in vacuo, 50 ml of 0.1N hydrochloric acid was added to the residue and the product was extracted with methylene chloride. The dried, over sodium sulfate, extract was concentrated in vacuo and the crude product was crystallized from methanol to yield 2.1 g, mp 45°-46°, (68% yield) of [4-acetyl-3-[3-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propoxy]-2-propylphenoxy]acetic acid ethyl ester.
