2-O-Acetyl-3-O-benzyl-1-O-(6',6'-dimethoxyhexyl)-sn-glycerol (369 mg, 1.0 mmol) was hydrogenated in THF (10 ml) over Palladium/carbon (14 mg, 10%) until the uptake of hydrogen ceased (approx. 2.5 hr.).
