実験手順

0.5 g of 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose synthesized according to the method described in WO 2006/112000 and 100 mg of silica gel (Merck Kieselgel 60) were added to 1 mL of water, and the resulting mixture was heated at 150 degrees centigrade for 2 hours. After the completion of the reaction, a quantitative analysis was carried out using HPLC and as a result, (4S,5R,6S)-4,5,6-trihydroxy-2-cyclohexene-1-one was obtained at a yield of 50%.
