In the manner given in Examples 1-7, above, 1ethyl-6-phenyl-4H-s-triazolo[ 4,3-a][1,4]benzodiazepine (III) in diethylene glycol is treated with propyl hydrazine to obtain both A and B 4-[α-amino-α-amino-α-phenyl-o-tolyl]-5-ethyl -4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxaldehyde, propylhydrazone, which is separated by column chromatography into the two diastereomers A and B.
