Compounds or agents that combine with an enzyme in such a manner as to prevent the normal substrate-enzyme combination and the catalytic reaction.
Drugs used to cause dilation of the blood vessels.
A diverse group of agents, with unique chemical structures and biochemical requirements, which generate NITRIC OXIDE. These compounds have been used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and the management of acute myocardial infarction, acute and chronic congestive heart failure, and surgical control of blood pressure. (Adv Pharmacol 1995;34:361-81)
일반 설명Nitric oxide donor that begins to evolve nitric oxide immediately upon solubilization in aqueous buffers (t1/2 = 10 h). Mimics the actions of nitric oxide, including the relaxation of isolated bovine coronary artery rings (EC50 = 130 nM). Markedly activates soluble guanylate cyclase. Also reported to cause the reversible inactivation of protein kinase C activity. Induces apoptosis in mouse thymocytes. Note: 1 set = 4 x 5 mg.
