Following the rationale that single-ring systems (2-alkylamino and 2-arylamino-5-alkyl-5-nitro-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane 2-oxides) exhibit antitumor activity against Walker carcinosarcoma 256, this spiro compound is expected to possess equal or greater antitumor activity than the single-ring systems due to its dual-ring structure.[1]
