5-(8-(((trans)-4-Methoxycyclohexyl)methyl)-7-oxo-5,6,7,8-tetrahydropyrazino[2,3-b]pyrazin-2-yl)-4-methylpicolinamide (0.412 g, 1.00 mmol), dimethylformamide dineopentylacetal (1.5 mL) and tetrahydrofuran (10 mL) were combined and heated at 85° C. for 3 h. Reaction was concentrated under a stream of nitrogen placed in reaction vessel. Crude product was used directly for next step (0.467 g, 1.00 mmol, 100% yield). MS (ESI) m/z 466.6 [M+1]+
