실험 절차

The method for producing catechol as described above, by dehydrating 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose while heating to give (4S,5R,6S)-4,5,6-trihydroxy-2-cyclohexene-1-one, and then reducing the (4S,5R,6S)-4,5,6-trihydroxy-2-cyclohexene-1-one with hydrogen in the presence of a metal catalyst to give (2S,3R,4S)-2,3,4-trihydroxycyclohexane-1-one, and then further dehydrating the (2S,3R,4S)-2,3,4-trihydroxycyclohexane-1-one while heating.
