실험 절차

To a stirred suspension of 3.1 g of (±) methyl 11α,16-dihydroxy-16-methyl-9-oxoprost-13E-en-1-oate in 20 ml Tris buffer (pH 8.0) is added 50 ml porcine liver esterase (Sigma, St. Louis, Mo.). After 3 hours of stirring at room temperature, the reaction is extracted with 4 portions of ethyl acetate, the extracts combined, dried (Na2SO4), evaporated and chromatographed on silica gel to give 2.8 g of (±) methyl 11α,16-dihydroxy-16-methyl-9-oxoprost-13E-en-1-oic acid.
