Reaction Steps
When amine (11) is acylated with acid chloride (7) as per procedure Step (E), and the resultant diester (ethyl 4-(2-(11-carbomethoxy-undecanoylamino)phenylthio)butyrate 12 is hydrolyzed in Step I as per procedure (F), the title compound, 13 m.p. 113.5-115° C. is obtained.
