Reaction Steps
In an analogous manner to that described in Example 22(k), by acylating tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-4-[4-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-phenyl]-3-[4-(2-trimethylsilanyl-ethoxymethoxy)-naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy]-piperidine-1-carboxylate with 2-chloromethyl-benzoyl chloride there was obtained tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-4-[4-[2-(2-chloromethyl-benzoyloxy)-ethoxy]-phenyl]-3-[4-(2-trimethylsilanyl-ethoxymethoxy)-naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy]-piperidine-1-carboxylate as a colourless solid; MS: 776 (M+H)+.
