In an analogous manner to that described in Example 44(e), by alkylating tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-4-[4-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-phenyl]-3-(4-hydroxy-naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy)-piperidine-1-carboxylate with 2-methoxybenzyl chloride there was obtained tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-4-[4-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-phenyl]-3-[4-(2-methoxy-benzyloxy)-naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy]-piperidine-1-carboxylate as a colourless oil; MS: 652 (M+K)+.
