Reaction Steps
In an analogous manner to that described in Example 1 (g), by alkylating tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-4-[4-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-phenyl]-3-(naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy)-piperidine-1-carboxylate [Example 53 (c)] with 2-chloromethyl-pyridine there was obtained tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-3-(naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy)-4-{4-[2-(pyridin-2-ylmethoxy)-ethoxy]-phenyl}-piperidine-1-carboxylate as a colourless oil.
