Reaction Steps
In an analogous manner to that described in Example 9 (c), by esterifying tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-4-[4-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-phenyl]-3-(naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy)-piperidine-1-carboxylate [Example 53 (c)] with 1-methyl-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid in the presence of EDC there was obtained tert-butyl (3RS,4RS)-4-[4-[2-(1-methyl-1H-pyrrol-2-carbonyloxy)-ethoxy]-phenyl]-3-(naphthalen-2-ylmethoxy)-piperidine-1-carboxylate as a colourless oil; MS: 585 (M+H)+.
